I disagree. Any dog, regardless of it being pure of a mix can be a good pet. Better pet is a completely subjective statement anyway. I prefer purebreds because I like a dog that can compete in venues like herding and dog shows. Good pets are dogs that fit your lifestyle and have stable temperaments and good health.
Any dog is only as good as it’s parents. I prefer to know my dogs breeding and background - and only buy from responsible breeders. I also don’t make close minded generalizations.
